Chris Tempest is a singer/songwriter with a calling to minister as a touring concert performer. His original songs are drawn from spiritual encounters with God along the journey of life.

His concert repertoire is rich in variety: a blend of thoughtful acoustic guitar and piano ballads, mixed with soulful R&B rhythms.

Chris began his relationship with God and was baptized in 1991, in Carlsbad, New Mexico. After graduating from University of Northern Iowa in 1998 with a degree in Earth Science Education, Chris returned to a career as an Interpretive Ranger with the National Park Service.

The growth of his music ministry began in 2000 with the release of his first album, "The Journey." In the summers of 2001 and 2002, Chris competed as a singer/songwriter in Gospel Music Association's "Praise in the Rockies" at Estes Park, Colorado. Both years, one of his songs advanced to the semifinals.
